Women Affairs Department
Vision
In agreement with its strong believe in the importance of women’s role in shaping the past, present and future of the Muslim Oummah (Nation), the Women Dept. strives to promote sisters participation in the mosque programs and activities and add their input to build the local Muslim community.
Mission:
• Act as a liaison between the board and the female attendees.
• Oversee women’s department and drive women’s participation in the Mosque’s activities.
• Create programs tailored to the needs of the women in the community.
• Address the needs, opinions, and concerns of the women in the community.
• Organize Activities for children (Ages 4 to 6 and ages 7 to 9).

Social Affairs Department
Vision:
Based on its strong believe in the importance of the social aspect of life in Islam, the Social Affairs Department strives to work very closely with the other departments of Apex Mosque to bring people together, through its hard work which consists in offering counseling, humanitarian and overall community services.
Mission:
- Create opportunities of socializing, love, and brotherhood between community members.
- Build strong family relationships.
- Create a live atmosphere of support, cooperation, and mutual concern among community members
- Make the members of our community aware of the needs of the Masjid and engage them in the serving, and taking care of it.
- Help any person or community that is going through a financial or social hardship.
- Feed the needy, poor, and homeless.
Goals:
- Organize and execute all the social activities of the Mosque, including picnics, Eid celebrations, and the Ramadan Iftar program.
- Introduce programs that help strengthening the brotherhood in the community, such as community dinners, tea parties, potluck
- Be in charge, with the help of the Treasurer, of collecting and distributing Zakat and other charity funds.
- Initiate and maintain programs to help the new-comers to the community.
- Organize Hajj and Umra programs.
- Form a conflict resolution committee comprised of individuals who are deemed appropriate for such task.
Facility Management Department
Vision:
Our vision is to ensure that Apex Mosque is a welcoming environment by maintaining clean and secure facilities and also to provide an enjoyable and memorable place for people of all ages and different backgrounds.
Mission:
- Maintain Apex Mosque buildings, parking lot, and surrounding land safe and clean
- Follow up on all construction projects from beginning to end
- Be responsible for renting out the Big Hall for external events
- Record all assets belonging to Apex Mosque;
- Arrange monthly calendar for all events at the mosque

Dawa and Imam Department
Vision:
With the hereafter being the focal point of life, the Dawa & Imam Department seeks to establish within Apex Mosque & its local community:
• A high level of spirituality, where the love of God the Almighty & the love of our Great
Prophet Mohamed (Peace & Blessings be Upon Him), his Family, his Progeny, his Companions & his Followers to the day of Judgment become the priority of each community member
• A general atmosphere of good companionship, love, brotherhood, respect, cooperation between community members.
• A good environment of Islamic knowledge & wisdom.
• A place where the message of Islam (a message of mercy & compassion) can be conveyed to both Muslims & Non-Muslims.
• A strong sense of cooperation with other Mosques and Muslim organizations
• A place where Muslims can receive the religious services needed for them to have a pious, righteous & peaceful life.
Mission:
• The Dawa & Imam Dept. assists Apex Mosque in carrying out its comprehensive project which consists in inviting the human being to realize the essence of his existence, through overcoming the hurdles towards his Creator as well as striving for justice, dignity, freedom, and wellbeing of the American Society.
• The mission of the Dawa & Imam Depart. is to turn to God in repentance and invite others to do so. It strives to learn, practice, and convey Islam, and also make it relevant to the American people.
• The Dawa & Imam Department’s mission is to teach & help people put in practice the teachings of Quran & Sunna while contributing to the betterment of the city of Apex and the society at large.
Goals:
• Plan and be in charge of the major religious celebrations.
• Organize spiritual programs and activities such as lectures, shorts talks, conferences,
• Ramadan program.
• Coordinate Da’wa activities within and outside the Muslim Community.
• Prepare and implement Da’wa programs for Non-Muslims.
• Facilitate the process of integration of those who embrace Islam in the Muslim Community and teach them the priorities of Islam.
• Coordinate interfaith programs.
• Live our faith as a congregation, inspired by the teachings of the Quran and Prophet
Muhammad (Pbuh) as individuals and as a collective body, to aspire for the spiritual growth of community members and to foster a mission of peace, justice and compassion for ALL

Youth and Sports Department
a. Organize and oversee activities for the youth.
b. Coordinate activities with other organizations that cater to the needs of the youth.
c. Work with the Da’wa and Imam Department for youth and spiritual programs.
d. Organize field trips in coordination with the Social Affairs Department.
e. Organize sports activities for the community and its children, as well as
tournament games between Apex Mosque’s teams and those of other centers.
f. Organize leadership trainings and workshops for the youth.
g. Engage youth in volunteering and scouting programs.
Education Department
a. Oversee and develop the vision, mission, and objectives of all educational programs.
b. Oversee, plan, develop and execute educational programs and activities,
including but not limited to: the Full-Time k-12 School, the Weekdays Pre-k
program, the Weekend School, the Quran School, and the After School and
Summer Programs
c. Propose cultural programs to the BOD for approval and implement them when approved.
d. Coordinate Islamic educational activities within and outside the Muslim community.
e. Oversee the School Library and the Mosque’s Bookstore and Multimedia Center.
Media and Outreach Department
a. Media:
i. Responsible for all print and audiovisual media by establishing a
thorough media system, announcing their contents and setting up a
borrowing system for media items that can be borrowed
ii. Store and keep track of books, audio and video tapes and record their
related expenses
iii. Responsible for related audiovisual equipment and its maintenance and
designate the individuals allowed to operate it
iv. Responsible for all Apex Mosque web sites and the websites of any
other institutions that might be part of it
v. In charge of media coverage (picturing, filming, recording, distributing
and archiving) of all the activities held by Apex Mosque or any other
institutions that might be part of it
vi. Responsible of the Mosque security video system maintenance and upkeeping
vii. Responsible for advertising events, publishing reports and inviting the
Media when needed, in consultation with the BOD and after its Consent
b. Outreach:
i. Organize, attend, advertise and participate in any civic engagement
programs, trainings or workshops serving the goals of Apex Mosque
and its community members
ii. Build bridges of communication and cooperation with official and
civic institutions
iii. Coordinate initiatives with other religious and non-religious, Muslim
and Non-Muslim organizations in the field of social, humanitarian or
rights and liberties issues, in collaboration with the Social Affairs
Department, and in consultation with the BOD and after its consent
iv. Implement initiatives that can keep a positive image of Apex Mosque
and of the local and national Muslim Community within the American
Society
v. Establish ties of communication, mutual understanding and respect
with the local Muslim and non-Muslim community
