In an effort to minimize distractions that may be caused by children during the jumua khutba and prayer and to thus ensure a quiet environment in the musalla, the Apex Mosque is pleased to announce that babysitting and supervision of children (ages 2 and up) will be offered every Friday from 12 to 2PM in Room 3 (located between the musalla and the Yussor conference room). Please take advantage of this program.
In collaboration with the American Red Cross, the Apex Mosque is holding a blood drive on Sunday, 14-May from 12:30PM to 5:00PM. If interested, donors are encouraged to schedule a donation time in advance at the Red Cross website and enter code “mosque” in the “Find a Blood Drive” box in the upper right hand corner. Doing so will decrease wait times. Prior drives have been successful, members are encouraged to support this life-saving cause.

Dr. Jonathan Kuttab will be visiting Apex Mosque on Saturday, 08-April starting at 5:30PM to present: “Challenging Laws that Discriminate: Use of Non Violence to Address Legal System Barriers to Peace and Justice in Israel-Palestine.” Dr. Kuttab, an internationally recognized human rights lawyer, will explain the legal framework that governs Palestinian lives in Israel and the occupied territories. His work to develop nonviolent means to secure rights for Palestinians in spite of obstacles has led him to found and join several human rights organizations. Families and friends are invited to listen to this reknown speaker.
