The Sunday school program was lunched at Apex Mosque for the first time on September 2009, and as a new school in the area, we have currently more than 100 students from all different backgrounds and ages. We have 8 classes with a load of 10-15 students in each class. We expect this number to be more than 120 this Spring Semester.
The mission of Al Ihssan School is to plant the love of God & His Messenger (PBUH) in the hearts of our children & to instill Islamic education, behavior and manners in our students, children and youth, while teaching them the basics of Islam.
While we understand that the weekend school is not a substitute of a full time Islamic school, we believe that through such a program and until a full time Islamic school is established, Al Ihssan School would provide a suitable environment to help children become proud practicing Muslims, insha Allah
The school strives to achieve this goal by providing:
- Classes in Islamic Studies, Arabic and Quran memorization & understanding
- An Islamic environment for socialization
- Different activities throughout the year, including Eid Celebration, graduation party and joined activities with other Muslim Communities.
