Tazkiyyah Program

Sessions on Tazkiyyah are offered twice a year: in the Fall and Spring. Participants explore the foundations of journeying to Allah through Islam-Iman-Ihssan. The sessions are held once a week for 2 hours and combine both learning and practice (i.e. Qiyyam, Dikhr, Quran Recitation, Retreats, etc.). Registration for the program is required. The program is open for brothers, sisters and youth. Commitment to the program is a must for participants to fully benefit from it.

FALL: (1st Week of September – 2nd Week of December)

Sessions Topic:  Companionship & Community as the First Pillar of Tazkiyyah

Course Objectives: This 12 sessions course is offered in the Fall and is intended to explore the basic foundations of spirituality as prescribed in the Book of Allah and the Sunna of His Messener (peace & blessings be upon him), and how to excel in worshiping Allah and gain His mercy and satisfaction.

Course Requirements: This class should meet once a week for one 1 hour 30 min. It is open for all brothers and sisters who have a special thirst to spirituality. Regular attendance is highly recommended if participants would like to fully benefit from the course.

Course Fees: This course is offered for free, however a registration fee of $50 applies.

2 Introduction to the Three Basic Requirements of Tazkiyah
3 Companionship & Community as the First Step into Tazkiyyah
4 Loving Allah the Almighty
5 Loving Rasulu Allah (peace be upon him)
6 Loving the believers and being generous with them
7 Taking the Messenger of Allah and his character as a great example
8 Be gentle to your Parents, Relatives and Friends
9 Marriage based on the Islamic etiquettes / Al-Kiwamah& Al-Hafidiyah
10 Be generous with your neighbors and guests
11 Respect the rights of Muslims on you and helping people to overcome their conflicts
12 Kindness and good morals or character

 

SPRING (2nd Week of January – 2nd Week of May)

Sessions Topic: The Day & Night of the Believer

 

Course Objectives: This 12 sessions course is offered in the Spring and is intended to experience spirituality as prescribed in the Book of Allah and the Sunna of His Messenger (peace & blessings be upon him), through a variety of acts of worship

Course Requirements: This class should meet once a week for one 2 hours. It is open for all brothers and sisters who have a special thirst to spirituality. Regular attendance is highly recommended if participants would like to fully benefit from the course.

Course Fees: This course is offered for free, however a registration fee of $50 applies.

6 Sending Prayers upon Prophet Mohamed (PBUH)
7 Dikr (Constant remembrance of Allah): Merits of “La Ilaha Ila Lah” & Tasbih
8 Merits of Quran Recitation (Don’t miss your daily part of Quran)
9 The Merits of Dua & The Supplications of Tahsin
10 The Merits of Fasting Mondays, Thursdays & Al-Ayam Al-Bid
11 Merits of seeking knowledge: Don’t forget your daily part of knowledge
12 Find room for visiting your family, friends, relatives, etc.
