Triangle Muslim Aid Bake Sale

Triangle Muslim Aid, a youth-led service organization, would like your support.  Please visit their bake sale in the lobby after Jumuah Salaat on Friday, 30-December.  All proceeds go towards funding projects to aid the impoverished, homeless, refugees and disaster victims in the Triangle Area.  Donations are also welcome.

Seeking Volunteer Architecture Help

The Apex Mosque is seeking any individual with an architecture background to volunteer their skills in developing a long-term facility plan for the masjid.  Please contact Br. Mohammed Assisou or Br. Aly Abualieen if interested.

2016 Hadith Awards Ceremony

The hadith awards ceremony will be held on Saturday, 10-December from 7:30PM to 9:30PM in the multipurpose hall.

Invited Guest Fri/Sat 18-19 November

Dr. Imad Benjelloun, Vice President of NAFIS, will be visiting Apex Mosque Friday and Saturay (November 18-19th).  On Friday after Isha at 7:30PM, he will lead a discussion session titled “Reflection on the Last Election….What’s Next?”  On Saturday at 5:30PM (between Maghrib and Isha), he will be leading an open discussion with the youth.  View the program brochure.

2016 Hadith Competition

Registration for the 2016 Hadith Competition is now open.  Complete the registration form and submit it to Imam Khalid Shahu in person or via email.  The form is also available at the Mosque.  For information on the participation requirements, please see the program brochure.  Testing starts on Saturday, 03-December and the awards ceremony will be on Saturday, 10-December.

Meeting with Wake County School Board Member

The Apex Mosque is pleased to host a discussion with newly elected Wake County School Board member Lindsay Mahaffey.  She believes that our schools should be a safe place for all children and will be on-hand to hear our concerns.  The event is free and open to public, and all parents with children in the Wake County School District are encouraged to attend.  The event will take place at the Apex Mosque multipurpose hall on Sunday 13-November from 5:30 to 7:30PM.

As the community emerges from the recent elections, let us use this as an opportunity to engage with the community at large and to demonstrate that our voices matter and will be heard.

Sister’s Quran and Tajweed Program

The Apex Mosque Sisters’ Quran Committee announces registration is open for sisters who are interested in memorizing Quran and learning Tajweed.  For registration and more information please check the registration table in the sisters lobby on Fridays after Jumua prayer or contact Sr. Mariam.
